Shumway fast at Mad-Dog; but breaks car and fingers
Carriage Town Motorsports had their work cut out for them this past week. With a nearly destroyed race car at the Waterford Speedbowl, Bryan and Bruce had more than just sheet-metal to bang out this past week. The M5 mod was brought to SPAFCO this past week and the car was brought back to life. When Bryan unloaded the mod at Mad-Dog, all be it still showing scars, it was still one of the sharpest in the pit area. The M5 mod was quick at the �Dog. Bryan was 2nd fastest to the King of the True Value Mods, Kirk Alexander in the final practice. Bryan started 2nd to last in his heat race and snuck his way into in the feature by clinching the last qualifying spot. Bryan started 16th in the feature and quickly worked his way in to the top 10. The M5 was hooked up on the outside groove. The car was derailed quickly when Bryan broke several fingers in his right hand and then eventually wrecked heading into turn one.
